Steel grit

Applications of Steel Shot with Different Hardness:

GP Steel Shot: This abrasive is initially sharp-edged, but the edges quickly become rounded during use. It is particularly suitable for pre-treatment operations involving oxide scale removal on steel surfaces.

GL Steel Shot: Although this type of steel shot is slightly harder than GP steel shot, it still loses its sharpness during sandblasting. It is especially effective for removing oxide scale from steel surfaces in pre-treatment processes.

GH Steel Shot: This type features very high hardness and retains its sharp edges throughout blasting operations, making it highly effective for producing uniform, finely textured surfaces. When used in shot blasting machines, GH steel shot should be considered in applications where performance requirements take precedence over cost (e.g., roller treatment in cold rolling mills). It is primarily used in compressed air shot blasting equipment.
